An Oldie but a Goodie!
Jan
So, as I’ve been going through my stuff this week I found this card. It’s one of the first cards I made way back when I first started stamping. I was really proud of this card, and actually I still really like the idea of it. I thought I was pretty clever to use wire to loop through the top of the card and have the fish dangling.
I believe the colors are CTMH Dutch Blue, Desert Sand and Olive. I can’t remember the name of the stamp set though – it’s CTMH, and retired and I no longer have it – it was a sand castle theme though. If anyone remembers the name, drop me a line! The fishing pole was a single stamp from CTMH as well (in the woodie days) and also retired.
Enjoy!

Feeling Snowy!
Jan
Well, it’s still snowy here! It snowed another 3 inches last night!! And more is in the forcast. I’m seriously tired of snow. Remember just a few weeks ago when I posted the first snow of the year pics? Yeah, so over it now! So are the dogs!!
Anyway, here’s a snow card!

An actual card!!!
Jan
I know … it’s been almost a week since I posted.
It’s been a little crazy – work, the weather (lots of snow), plus I had company this weekend – and of course it is Playoff Football Season (GO SEAHAWKS!!!).
One of the other reasons I’ve been away for several days is because I’ve been working on setting up another blog for myself. This other blog is a Fitness Blog. You can find it here if you’re interested. I’ve actually had it since August – but totally revamped it in the last week, and am actually now using it. I’m making an honest effort to exercise this year. So far, so good!
The response to my Blog Candy post has been GREAT! There are so many great ideas in there. Thanks for sharing everyone! And for those that haven’t entered – you have until Thursday evening! Good luck everyone! I’ll pick a winner tomorrow evening (drawing from a hat unless I can figure out Random.org) and will post the winner and the prize!
Here are some of my Crafting goals for 2008:
1 – Keep my area clean and organized.
2 – RAK at least once a month.
3 – Retake Stacy Julian’s Library of Memories class at BPS
4 – USE the stuff I have, don’t buy more (or at least as much!)
I’m sure there are others – but right now I just can’t think of them. I want to actually scrapbook more regularly as well, but for now, I don’t really know what that means for me. So for now I’m just going to make a concerted effort to scrapbook more.
In the spirit of getting organized this year (we’re almost to the card, don’t worry) Nancy over at Nancy’s Creative Mess had a great idea about orgranizing pictures that we post on our blogs. I can’t explain it well, but you can read about it here as it’s really simple, and I’m totally going to be borrowing her wonderful idea this year!!! Thanks Nancy!
Ok – the card … finally!
This is a card that I made at the Retreat in November. It’s really simple as you can see.

I think it’s time to get away from Christmas cards! I actually made this card last year.
I really liked the color combo on this, plus I had some fun with embossing powder to boot!!

Seasons Greetings

This is a card I actually did last year, but in digging through my things found it again. I really like the idea of it, and think I will make more with different papers/stamps.
It’s a top fold normal size card. Then with a z-fold attachment on the front of the card, held closed by a ribbon (glued between the z-fold and the front of the card).
It would be really cute to put pictures inside, but I just stamped more on the folds.

Recipe:
Paper: CTMH – Patterend Paper retired, Holiday Red Cardstock
Stamps: CTMH – I can’t remember the name of this set, but I believe it’s retired too
Misc: CMTH – Buttons, eyelets, ribbon and inks
Our Greatest Glory …
Nov
Well – let me tell you, I haven’t been feeling “crafty” lately. Despite that, the last few days have been spent actually cross stitching. I have a project or two that I need to finish up for Christmas! Once Christmas comes and goes, I’ll post a picture of what I’m working on. I think it’s going to turn out really pretty.
Here’s another matching card from the set of cards I’ve posted below.
It’s a square card (I think 5.5 x 5.5). It’s really simple, just some paper piecing basically. I felt that it needed something extra, but after adding the ribbon couldn’t really decide on what else it needed – so decided to just leave it alone!
The stamps and paper and inks are all CTMH.

Beauty of Christmas

I love this card. It’s so pretty I think.
Stamps, paper, inks and ribbon is all CTMH. I dry brushed the back piece of green with white MM paint. And used Liquid Applique to add the snow to the trees.

I made several cards with this same color scheme and stamps, so you’ll be seeing more in the near future!

One of a Kind!

Ok – finally, another card.
I used the same patterened paper as in the last card, and I have no idea who made it. The cardstock is bazzill. The stamp is the CTMH August SOTM, and the bling and edge anchors are also CTMH. The flowers are Prima.

I really like this card. I don’t know what company the patterned paper is from. The brown cardstock is bazzill (my new obsession). Everything else is CTMH. The stamp is from the August SOTM.

I’m back!
Nov
Hi everyone!
Well, it’s been a long couple of weeks!
But, I finally made it packed and got to my Retreat over last weekend. I had 3 days of great times with a bunch of scrapbooking friends in the middle of the Cascade Mountains in Washington State. Each year we meet up there and have 3 days of nothing but fun and scrapbooking!
For the last two years we’ve met at The Mountain River Lodge. It’s a great place, and so beautiful!!
I got a grand total of 3 pages done and around 30 cards! LOL I know – it doesn’t sound like much, but it’s about the same as I got done last year. I’m pretty happy over all. And I did get my Christmas cards done, so I can’t ask for much more than that.
I’ll be sharing the stuff I got done over the next several days.
To start here are 3 cards. All paper/ink/stamps are CTMH. Enjoy!

Happy Anniversary
Oct
I know … I’ve been a bad blogger! I’m sorry. I just haven’t had any creative mojo the last several days!
It’s bad timing too … I leave in 8 days for a 3 day scrapbooking retreat. Deb and Jane put on a GREAT retreat 2 times a year. This will be the 5th one I’ve been to, and they are totally worth the time and money invested each time! (And yes, that is me in the top picture, I’m not sure how I got that honor!)
Anyway, this card I finally forced myself to make tonight! I still wasn’t feeling all that great, but I used Jen’s Sham Battle Sunday Sketch Challenge to get myself in gear, and I’m pretty happy with the results really. The papers are Bazzil and Chatterbox (Greenhouse Bouquet). The stamps, ink, brads and ribbon are all CTMH. Plus of course I used Marvy punches, and SU slot punch.

On a seperate note, I took delivery of my Paper Towers that my great Dad made for me. It’s not totally organized yet the way I want it, but that’s going to take some time to go through and make a final decision on how to sort my paper (mostly CTMH, and mostly in zip lock bags).

Hope you have a great week! I’m going to try and get a tutorial of Polished Stone done up this week! Keep an eye out!
More Polished Stone
Oct
Here’s another Polished Stone Card. I love this technique. I don’t know if this piece of it turned out as nice as the one from the previous card, but I still like how this card turned out.
It’s 5×7. The colors are Olive (CTMH). Stamps are CTMH.

Wedding Rings … Polished Stone!

Sorry it’s been a few days. I’ve been tired, and not feeling well most of the week and getting to bed before 9pm until tonight.
This is a 3×3 card, using the Polished Stone technique. All product is CTMH.
