I got an order of Magnolia’s this week! This is my favorite new one! :)

Papers are CTMH, as is the ribbon and the Princess stamp.

I used my Prismacolor Pencils and mineral spirits again.

Another Tilda card … I’m feeling really good about coloring with my Prismacolor pencils right now, and am really liking the way that it turns out. I’ve never really liked coloring in before, but the pencils with the mineral spirits really help.

The Happy Birthday stamp is from Limitless Labels from Papertrey Ink, and all the paper is from the CTMH More to Adore paper pack.

I finally made another card. And let me tell you, I’m not exaggerating when I say that this card took me 2 days to make. I started with the image, and then had to come up with a card layout, size, and papers to match the coloring I had already done.

I clearly was enjoying the Gingham look of things this time around, and I stuck with good old circles to boot!

I also got out my prismacolor pencils … this time with mineral spirits. Loved how the coloring turned out this time. It definitely takes practice, but the more comfortable you become with it, the more natural the coloring looks I think.

The sentiment is from a retired CTMH set (Noah’s Parade). I threw in CTMH retired clover meadow gingham ribbon, clover meadow eyelets, and stickles for Edwin’s wings.

Enjoy!

Another Tilda Card! I love this particular stamp. So darling. I used my Prismacolor pencils again. I think the coloring of the clothes turned out ok. I thought about paper piecing the clothes, but decided to go with the coloring again. I think this is a technique that just requires patience and practice.

This particular card actually qualifies for href="http://magnoliachallengeblog.blogspot.com/2008/02/5-romancebuckle.html">Tilda & Co’s Romance Challenge!

I “glittered” my paper flower with modge podge and glitter – I saw this done on a Blog last week and for the life of me can’t remember which one. I know I have it bookmarked, just can’t find it right now. I also used Stickles this time for the wings!

ETA – I found the Blog!!! Lauren over at My Time, My Creations, My Stampendence has the great tutorial on glitter-ing your paper flowers!

And here’s a sneak peak of what I’m working on now …

Have a great Monday!

Love U

I really struggled with this card! I started it last night, and finally finished it, after thinking about it all day today, tonight.

I actually started out just practicing with my Prismacolor Pencils on a stamped Tilda image. When I was done, I decided I actually didn’t mind how it turned out so bad, so thought I’d make a card out of it. Then it dawned on me that I used some BRIGHT colors. I managed to find matching colors though, and fought my way through it. I honestly think that I like the way her hair turned out the best! LOL

I need to keep practicing with my pencils to get it down. Plus, I didn’t use my Mineral Spirits this time either, so I need to practice with those as well. Next time.

I’m on a roll with the Tilda’s!

I still haven’t gotten up the courage to try coloring in her clothes yet – so I paper peices one more time. I played with the hair coloring a little with the Prismacolor Pencils and I’m still not quite there yet I don’t think. I think I just have to keep playing with them until I’m happy with the look that I can achieve.

My first Tilda Card!

A couple of weeks ago I got 4 Magnolia stamps delivered! :) I’m so happy! They are adorable.

I took this opportunity to also really use my new Prismacolor Pencils for the first time on a real card. I didn’t do MUCH coloring in, as I paper pieced her dress and boots, but I like how her hair and face turned out … next time I’ll branch out and actually color in her dress. And hopefully you can see the glitter on her wings!

And I’m really loving this Silouette Paper kit from CTMH. It’s fabulous!

This card also fulfills Beate’s Weekend Sketch Challenge #31.

Papers: CTMH – Silouette Papers
Inks: Staz On – Black
Stamps: CTMH – Make It Count; Magnolia – Tilda
Accessories: CTMH – Black brads, Glitter, Designer Black Ribbon; SU – Corner Tab punch

So, you get some ramblings before the card.

I got a package in the mail yesterday … it was the 120 Prismacolor pencil set, some Gamsol and some paper stumps (all bought from Dick Blick). I was so excited.

A few months ago Kathi (over at Kathi’s Corner posted that she had purchased all these products. Ever since then I’ve been contemplating purchasing them. The Gamsol is used to help blend the colors. I played a little last night with them, but think I need a lot more practice. I’ve never been that great at coloring in stamps, so I’m hoping that with practice I can get the look that I’m looking for. I’ll post some of my progress this weekend!

On to my Guest Artist! One of the reasons I wanted to get the new pencil set was because of the Bella stamps, and some of these stamps … Magnolia’s! They are all the rage on the European blogs, and I’m starting to see them crop up over here in the US/Canada as well. Well, my Mom has fallen in love with them and has now ordered twice from them. The second time (just a couple of weeks ago) I had her throw in a few for me. She got them today, so I should be getting mine in a few days. I’m looking forward to playing with them!!!

Anyway, she’s had some for awhile, and her card that I’m posting was made with one of the Erwin’s (sorry I don’t know which one). She’s been making some very cute cards with them!!! Enjoy!
