Ok – Blog Candy time! It’s Happy New Year time and a celebration of 5000+ Blog Hits!!!
I haven’t exactly decided what the Candy is gonna be, but I have a few things set aside already and I’m sure the winner will be pleased. I’ll update this post this weekend with a picture!
To enter – leave a comment on this post letting me know one of your crafting goals/resolutions for 2008! I’ll leave this open until January 10th, so one week! good luck!
I’ll start – one of mine is to get my room cleaned and organized, and keep it that way! It’s so bad right now I have a hard time creating anything!
my goal this week is get out of the house. I need to cross reference my stamps into a database I am building with photos-so there will be no more similar ones unless I want them. (like pine trees-how many do I actually need?)
I will clean my scrap room, and organize it in such a way that it will travel well to retreats, crops, etc. Right now, I put it all away, then pack it all up – I spend all my time packing and unpacking! Useable for crafting, but mobile for travelling – that’s my goal!
PS – Happy New Year!!
One of my goals is to post comments on blogs more often!
well i have already started one of my goals…i’ll explain. each day i am going to take a picture. it doesn’t matter what it is of, just a picture to remember that day. so at the end of the year, i will have 365pictures. i bought a two up album that i plan to put them all in. the album has a little space in between with white paper that will be my scrapbooking part of the album. i’ll cover it in paper and then journal on it. i am looking right now to get a little pocket sized digital camera to carry around with me becuase my real camera is too big/expensive to carry around all the time. i am also keeping a journal each day, just a sentence or two describing the picture and maybe something exciting that happened that day. so far i have a pic of my dog molly, some delicious salsa and my new shoes with my pjs on. it will be very random but i will remember this year!!! yay. plus i’ll try out some new settings on my camera to be able to do some sweet effects and learn more about it’s capabilities.woohoooo. that was long sorry.
My goal is to FINISH at least 6 major projects this year (for instance the scrapbook I wanted to make for my son for Christmas would count as 1 major project). I have 20 years of pictures waiting for a permanent home and I have 6 years of scrapbooking paper, embellishments, etc so no more excuses! 6 projects in one year is a major step up from…..ummm…..none, so wish me luck! P.S. I love Amanda’s idea! I can’t believe she’s my daughter – she seriously didn’t inherit any of her amazing talent from me!
I would say that one of my goals would be to work on more 3D projects this year. I never seem to get around to doing any…but this is the year!! :0) Congrats on the hits by the way!! :0)
My plan is to mail out at least one RAK card each week … passing on the kindess.
I’ve been on long term medical leave from work since May ’07, since we no longer have my salary we are selling our house and we’ve taken our son out of day home. This leaves little time for myself between caring for a (soon to be) 4 year old and medical appointments. To help me carve out time my mother (who is a stamping up addict) invited me to their monthly card making night. My long hidden (I work in finance) creative side has now been released. Every time I give a card I am told I should start selling them, so that is my goal for 2008. I’m going to work on templates that I can create fairly simply, my goal is to have enough of a stock created by late summer to sell for the fall/Christmas craft fairs. I enjoy spending time creating unique designs so this will be a joy.
My goal for 2008 is to do a LOT more scrapbooking and attend as many “Crop til ya Drop” days as possible. Since I started making cards a year ago I’ve spent more time on that because it’s much quicker but I’m not getting my pictures done so that’s my goal.

I’m a stitcher and one of my goals is to finish 10 of the projects I currently have started before I start anything else. LOL
Happy New Year!!!
My goals for this year are to submit my work for publication and to join a desin team. I can’t wait!
Thanks!
Okay, my goal is to TRY and keep my craft/computer room cleaner. It has been brought to my attention that I make a total mess – even when I make just one card. Another goal would be to finish my scrapbook of the Mediterranean Cruise we took in 2000. Plus our Grand Cayman vacation in 2007. I could go on and on … but I won’t!
Happy New Year Tracy!!! I hope you and your family had a great holiday… Did dad make your mom something cool, that you are going to copy & that he needs to make for me too *lol* I have several crafting goals for the year – #1 I learned how to make fleece tied quilts. I want to make one for each of my kids and give to them either for their birthday or Christmas.. #2 – I’m going to make myself a card tin & get all my cards organized and then be able to send out birthday, anniversaries & etc in a timely matter. I’m terrible at this!!! #3 – I have started several scrapbook layouts and for one reason or another never completed. So once a month I’m going to pull one out & finish it. … So there you go!!!… Hope all is well , Tell your mom Hi!!
Hi there Tracy! My goal is to expand my repetoire with more challenges (sketch, inspiration and way to use it). I feel like I ought to learn more!
Congrats on your hits! Great blog! Count me in on this mystery candy, cuz I know it will be FUN FUN FUN! One of my goals this year is to try some challenges out in blogland and SCS. Thanks for a chance.

One of my crafting goals for 2008 is to use up some of the patterned/designer paper I have before buying any more. I tend to hoard the stuff and I now have quite a stack!

I’m with you! My goal is STAYING organized!! I’m much more productive when I do so.
Happy New Year!
My goal this year is to get my new scrapbook/stamp room organized & decorated. Another goal is to be better at making & sending cards for special occassions such as birthdays. You would think that would be easy for me, but I lost my enthusiasm somewhere.
Congrats on your # of hits. Happy New Year!
New year, new goal. I have to get my back into shape as I am hurting while crafting and that just won’t do. So basically it is to work out more, and consistently. I know that’s what most people say, but I really do intend to follow through, honestly!

My goal is to use up my stash before I go nuts buying more – all the paper I have is about to take over my life!
One of my goals is to deff Organize all my cardstock and scraps It looks terrible !!!!! And of course I have to make at least 4 to 5 a week ………….Tonight I sat down and made 6 cards woohoo !!!!! I have to actually take the time !!! Thanks for the chance at winning a Surprise I love surprises !!!!!
I have got to quit hoarding all of my designer paper and hardware! I also need to send out more of my handmade cards instead of hoarding them. I don’t get to stamp very often each week, so I guess I cherish the moments that I do have with stamping and then am afraid to let them go. Thanks for the chance to win some great blog bling!
I just started getting crafty, I started making Christmas cards and just want to keep going! This year I want to learn how to make awesome cards to give to family and friends! cutesy_face@hotmail.com
I have been following Emily Falconbridge’s Art Journey Deck of Me over the last year, but have got behind, so I am resolved to finish it as soon as possible.
Thanks for the offer.
I would like to use up some of my designer paper before buying more, and continue to make people happy with my creations.
Great blog ! One of my goals is to make a ton more cards for the
cardsforheroes.org project. It makes me feel so good to help others.

I’m not going to get too crazy with the resolutions this year (all that organizing and cleaning… not going to happen!); but I am resolving to scrap more for myself this year, not so much just to show off SU! product.
I’m going to create christmascards a whole year long (every week one), so I don’t have to rush into it in December, like I had this year. You can already see my first one on my blog!
Thanks for the chance at some blog candy and Happy New Year! My New Year’s Resolution is to get more organized. I am currently in search of a file cabinet of some sort to file my 12×12 paper. It is such a mess and would enjoy crafting so much more if I had it all organized! Good luck to all on your resolutions!
This year I plan to focus more on the content of the scrapbooks I do not on the pretties of them as much and to keep focused on scrapping the things that make my kids the kids I have not any other kids. They do so many things that are so them but are not monumental and I want them to know that I think they are great as them, they don’t have to be monumental!
One resolution is to let the nagging little things go and use that time to create! You all know what I’m talking about out there!

My goal is to use every one of my stamps at least once this year.
I’m hoping that I can get at least 200 cards made this year. It’s a whole lot considering I do this only when I have time and that’s not too often.
One of my goals is to stamp something at least once a week. I have gotten away from stamping, but I really want to get back to it.
My goals this year are:
1) Put all of my scrap pages I create into the albums they are suppose to be in and not leave them in stacks on the shelves next the the albums.
2) I want to learn different techniques to use on my pages – I love challenges and prizes! So the more blogs I read and participate in the more I will learn and maybe.. possibly… win something – just one time! I think that would be a great goal is to win something while learning new things.
3) Work out on my bow flex 30 minutes every other day and create on the other days – a card, a scrap page, a layout, a new technique.
Congrats on your 5000+!!
Looking forward to visiting your blog daily in 2008 -
Goodness – where to start!
1 – Learn how to actually use things like my Xyron & distressing kit & other helpful tools.
2 – Redo our wedding album into a new scrapbook.
3 – Submit to 3 or 4 “challlenges” & see if I can get published again.
4 – Try to limit spending & use the tons of stuff I have.
5 – Keep my craft room clean (this may be the hardest of all!)
Congrats on the hits Tracy! My goals for this year are to create *something* each day. I want to scrap more for my personal growth/insights and just abandon all of the “rules”. I am also going on my first all weekend crop retreat at the end of February!
