I saw this on my friend Melissa’s blog and about fell off my chair laughing!!!

One more Serendipity card! I might be done after this - we’ll see!
Believe it or not, this is the first card (or scrapbook page for that matter) that I’ve ever used brackets on. I think it turned out kinda cute.

Recipe:
Papers: CTMH - Serendipity
Inks: CMTH - Chocolate, Outdoor Denim
Stamps: CTMH - Serendipity, Rustic Alphabet
Accessories: CTMH - Photo Hangers, Colonial White Bigger Brads, Outdoor Denim Designer Ribbon
Another Serendipity card.
Everything on this card is CTMH.
I also tried something new - a Ribbon Blossum. Pam at Indigo Studio made this tutorial showing how to create this. Her’s look so much better than mine. I thought at first it was because I used primarily grosgrain type ribbon and she used more organdy type, but she went and posted a card today that shot that theory down!
I think I’m just not working the ribbon enough, and will need to practice up. I still like the way it turned out, but her’s are much, much cuter!

Recipe:
Papers: CTMH - Serendipity
Inks: CTMH - Chocolate
Stamps: CTMH - Serendipity
Accessories: CTMH - Outdoor Denim Designer Ribbon, Colonial White bigger brads, Chocolate small paper flower, Colonial White brad, Cocoa Grosgrain Ribbon, Twill Ribbon
And, as I’m sitting creating this card, I turn around to this view:

How much cuter can they get than that!
I really struggled with this card! I started it last night, and finally finished it, after thinking about it all day today, tonight.
I actually started out just practicing with my Prismacolor Pencils on a stamped Tilda image. When I was done, I decided I actually didn’t mind how it turned out so bad, so thought I’d make a card out of it. Then it dawned on me that I used some BRIGHT colors. I managed to find matching colors though, and fought my way through it. I honestly think that I like the way her hair turned out the best! LOL
I need to keep practicing with my pencils to get it down. Plus, I didn’t use my Mineral Spirits this time either, so I need to practice with those as well. Next time.

This sketch was a sketch challenge over at Beate’s Fresh & Fun blog a couple of weeks ago. I had marked it so I wouldn’t forget it, but didn’t ever make a card at the time.
I sat down and used the sketch with Serendipity tonight. It turned out ok. I popped the flowers with a pop dot, and maybe shouldn’t have. Because I curled the flowers up (with my fingers nails) it has a ton of dimension as it is.

Accessories: CTMH - Colonial White Bigger Brads, Chocolate Square Brads
I saw this card a few days ago made by Sharon at No Time to Stamp.
I really liked the layout of the card.
I used it tonight with the January special from Close to my Heart, Serendipity!

I’m on a roll with the Tilda’s!
I still haven’t gotten up the courage to try coloring in her clothes yet - so I paper peices one more time. I played with the hair coloring a little with the Prismacolor Pencils and I’m still not quite there yet I don’t think. I think I just have to keep playing with them until I’m happy with the look that I can achieve.

Well, another person has entered blog-land!
My Mom!!!!
Go check her out at:
A couple of weeks ago I got 4 Magnolia stamps delivered!
I’m so happy! They are adorable.
I took this opportunity to also really use my new Prismacolor Pencils for the first time on a real card. I didn’t do MUCH coloring in, as I paper pieced her dress and boots, but I like how her hair and face turned out … next time I’ll branch out and actually color in her dress. And hopefully you can see the glitter on her wings!
And I’m really loving this Silouette Paper kit from CTMH. It’s fabulous!
This card also fulfills Beate’s Weekend Sketch Challenge #31.

So, my biggest hobby these days is “blurfing” (blog surfing). I’m trying to make an effort to change that though.
On one of my trips through blog land this week I saw a post called “Magic Boxes” on Lou’s Life as Lou blog. I’ve been thinking about it all week. I did a half-hearted search for a template, and then gave up, and decided to just wing it.
I made the boxes with the lid pattern from doing the scrapbook in a box. Nona Davenport, a Close To My Heart Demo, has a really great tutorial here showing how to do the entire SBIAB.
Anyway, I made my boxes with pieces of paper that were 10 5/8 inches square, and the lid was 11 1/2 inches square. I did very little stamping here, just for the tag in fact. I don’t know what I’m going to use it for, or do with it, but I wanted to make it!

And here it is opened up!

Hi everyone!
I just want to let everyone know about a great Scrapbook Retreat coming up in June if anyone is interested in coming. It’s going to be in SE Washington in the Tri-Cities! The dates are June 19-21.
Deb and Jane have been putting this on for 5 years now. I’ve gone to their Fall Retreat every year, and have been to the summer event one time. They are SO much fun. We have a great time, have all made new friends, and (sometimes) get a lot of work done!
To find out more please visit Neighbor Jane Payne’s site! If you have questions, their contact information is on that page, or you can email me with questions and I’d be happy to help you!!!
A great time is really had by all, and any of us that have gone to one will tell you it’s totally worth every penny spent to go! Deb and Jane both work so hard to give us a great retreat each time, and we’re all very glad that they do!
So, I seem to be getting most of my inspiration lately from OTHER people! That’s not a bad thing by any means, sometimes just frustrating that I can’t sit down and complete a card without having to look at someone else’s card first!
This particular design is a card that seems to be making the rounds of CTMH demo’s. One example is at Kathi’s Creative Corner and another is at they call me pammie. Both are great cards!
As soons as I saw Kathi’s card, I knew I had the perfect stamp set for it - I had run across it the other day when I was putting things away. It’s an old woodie set from CTMH. I went to pull it out tonight and when I sat down to use it, I realized that the tape was still on the box!! Meaning - I’ve never used it - not once. WOW! So NOT good. I have so many stamp sets that I’ve bought over the years and never used. It’s made me more aware of trying to actually use them in the near future. You may be seeing a lot of cards made with retired stamps for awhile!
Anyway, here’s my version of the card. I put mine on a 5×7 card because the flower stamps were so big. And one of the many reasons I now prefer clear stamps to woodies - the sentiments go on the card straight! Oh well - it gives it character!
Enjoy!

I saw a card a couple of days ago that I just loved. It was simple, but I loved the layout and the colors. I knew I was going to use it as a guide on the next card I made. So, tonight I sat down to make a card. The card I saw was this one made by Tracy over at Durcan Designs! She makes a ton of fabulous cards by the way - you should definitely check her blog out if you haven’t yet!
Anyway, here’s the card I made tonight! I totally took a left turn on the colors (I couldn’t resist the new Silouette Papers from CTMH), but still used the basic idea/concept of her card! Enjoy!

Papers: CTMH - Silhouette Paper Pack (LOVE THIS), Baby Pink
Stamps: CTMH - You and Me (retired), February Word Puzzle
Inks: CTMH - Black
Accessories: CTMH - Baby Pink Eyelets, Designer Black Ribbon Collection
I really like this CTMH set - although I think it may be retired now. This card design is taken out of the CTMH Original Book as well. It’s 8×3.5 in size.

And, on a side note, a cute pic of Jack that I took this weekend. He’s been spending a lot of time under the covers the last few days.

Hi everyone!
My friend Amanda has just started a new Blog!! WOOT!
Take a peak!
