Birthday Card and Chipboard Books!

Well, I’ve spent the last 4 days with some scrapping friends. They left today, and it’s back to the grind tomorrow.

I actually got quite a lot accomplished this weekend. I finished a scrapbook that is for a gift – it’s a total of 16 pages so not too shabby at all. Plus I made several cards, some of which you’ve seen over the past few days.

I also got to play with a couple of new gadgets this weekend. She has a Bind It All machine! I love this thing! As you can see from the pic, I practiced quite a bit with it, and most likely will be buying my own when they go on sale again at the LSS. I don’t know what I’m going to do with all of these, but I’m sure I’ll have fun figuring it out.

The other toy was a Cuttlebug Embossing folder. She uses hers in her old Sizzix die cutter. It works great. I instantly needed the folders. I was completely bummed though that I would seemingly have to spend $80 on the Cuttlebug itself though. At about midnight we had a brainstorm though. I have the QK Revolution. Well – we made a shim out of chipboard and voila! Works like a charm. So, I’m off to order a few of the folders and can’t wait to get them! In the mean time, I pre-embossed some pieces of cardstock to have while I wait.

Here’s a Birthday card I made with the Birthday Embossing folder.

Recipe:
Papers: CTMH – White, Sweet Leaf, Hollyhock
Stamps: CTMH – Birthday Bash
Inks: CTMH – Sunflower, Hollyhock, Grey Wool
Accessores: CTMH – Designer Ribbon; Cuttlebug – Birthday Embossing Folder
